These cars were to be an appreciating asset, if you believed Tesla's CEO.

Isn't that the same CEO that SOLD people "full self driving" cars in 2014? And refused to return any money despite not delivering in ... 11 years and counting?

Long FSD delays are no secret, but can we at least get the historical timeline correct?

In October 2014, at an event introducing the new dual-motor “D” variant of the Model S, Elon Musk surprised attendees by announcing the introduction of the “Autopilot” suite - an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which would provide new active safety and convenience features. At the time, Musk said that there were “not enough safety redundancies in place” yet to enable autonomous functionality, but he began painting autonomy as Tesla’s ultimate ambition.

On one hand I'm tempted to say: "yes of course". On the other hand I feel like saying: even a slight amount of accuracy would be very out of place for claims involving Tesla, wouldn't it?

After a few other bailouts, they might get to this one.

I keep reading this in various places, but everytime I've checked the used prices aren't that low.

> decreased by 1.34% in the US

This just isn't a significant decline as far as influencing a purchase decision.

EVs in general are becoming more common on the used market, and prices there are lower than previous years.
