This is horrific. A random company can strike you with no evidence and YouTube doesn’t even do any investigation or have any presumption of innocence or anything before potentially deleting the whole account? This seems like a very good reason to diversify away from YouTube. This article is trying to paint this in a positive light but this is as dystopian as it comes.

    Exactly my thoughts.

This story about getting it set right is a heartwarming story, but like many heartwarming stories it's really the story of how something horrible is just sort of accepted as part of our society. One person caught in the gears and about to be ground up when some miracle happens and saves them. But we don't hear about the untold numbers of others who don't happen to famous and connected that end up as gooey paste lubricating the wheels of society.

In reality, most of the time it's about society not caring. Some kid gets cancer and insurance pays only a fraction of treatment costs. Someone starts a GoFundMe and covers the rest. Even the CEO of GoFundMe has said this is horrible and not what they were thinking of when they started the company. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/crushed-by-medical-bills-many-a...
